I bought this laptop for 29,900 Php.
Price is worth for its specs. :)

So let's get started!

Our choice operating system is Windows XP professional(SP2)

Our first move is to install the Genuine Windows XP Professional(SP2)so we need
a clean format for the hard drive.

First, turn it on or reboot the laptop(CTRL-ALT-DEL) and go to the BIOS setup by pressing F2.

Go to Main change the hardisk mode from AHCI to IDE.

Go to Boot then set the priority to DVD drive using F6.

Press Esc, go to Exit, Save and Reboot.(Make sure your Windows XP(SP2)
is already in your DVD drive.

This time your DVD drive will detect your XP installer.
Continue the procedures from partitioning and formatting and installation.

After XP(SP2) is installed, you need the CD drivers now.

Use the Acer CD driver(included in the package).

Allow the DVD drive to autorun the sofware, install all the drivers needed.

Some of the drivers included is set to Windows Vista.
We can ignore them anyway.

Check the device manager.(right-click My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager)

Obviously a yellow question mark(?) or a yellow bang(!) sign will appear for missing drivers. We can use our Acer CD driver again, browse its content,
look for SW1 folders and install all the needed drivers. The audio, video, lan etc...

Not yet finished?

Get the missing drivers from Acer website:

http://acer.com.ph/driver.php?dkey=1

Try Acer Europe drivers too.

Just download & install.

Unfortunately, i can't find the correct broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter from their website, i just contacted Acer Philippines via telephone and they provided me with the correct one(6.6 MB)

Hope they already put it on their website for download.

:)Cheers!
