Rags to Contentment
I have always wanted to be rich.
That's what i'm thinking since i was a child.
But my innocent mind is fighting over the
situation we had - poverty.
I didn't stop dreaming.
To become a man of leisure whose most
meaningful pastime was shopping.
To drank in all the consumerist indoctrination
of media. To chant the materialistic mantra of
society. To look affluent.
Keeping up with the latest fashion trend.
Suffice to say that all my role models were those
in the rich and famous list.
I started to pencil those wonderful dreams.
Everyday, i sketch the details of my future house to
floor plan and the things i want to own.
Cars, a swimming pool and a beautiful garden.
Until now i continue dreaming.
Almost fulfilled.
Succesfully finished my degree in college,
a decent home & job, driving my own car,
and able to buy the things i need most.
Beyond all these, i always keep my feet on the ground
From rags to contentment, is what my life is all about.
Start dreaming too.
Who knows you are destined to live beyond your imaginations.
